As our 2026 booking calendar is now nearly full (feeling very grateful) we’re turning our focus to 2027 with excitement and anticipation! 2027 might seem a long way away, but with couples booking earlier each year, popular weeks do book up fast.

Here are 5 simple steps to help get you started planning your wedding abroad for 2027

ONE | Potential Wedding Dates

  • Make a list of dates you’re available to travel, consider work restrictions for you and key family members, for example, teachers or health service staff can be limited to when they can travel.
  • Another thing to consider is popular weeks, for example the Whitsun holiday in May is usually the first week to book up each year. It’s the first guaranteed week of sunshine in the Mediterranean and it’s the first chance for teachers to get away and enjoy the nice weather! Don’t worry if you can’t get a date in this week, look at the end of August instead. Temperatures can be quite similar and the days are still nice and long too! And as a bonus, prices of holidays tend to dip as everyone is focused on going back to school.

TWO | Guest Numbers

  • Create a rough list of your ideal or dream guest list, typically we advise around a 80% acceptance rate for a wedding abroad due to the distance. But always budget for EVERYONE attending. It does happen.

THREE | The Budget

  • The impossible but necessary detail everyone has to consider. Add any savings you have that you want to put towards the wedding, parental contributions and also monthly savings between now and the big day, but don’t stretch yourself too far! It just takes the fun out of planning for you!

FOUR | What's your style?

  • What do you imagine when you picture your dream wedding abroad? A beach, a vineyard, a rolling hillside? Weddings abroad look different to everyone and identifying your ideal venue will help focus your choices, for example, if you’ve always dreamed of a beach wedding, then Greece will be a better choice than New York.

FIVE | Visual research

  • Alongside venue research checkout image led platforms like Pinterest. Yes it’s true, everyone has as ‘Pinterest’ wedding and then a more realistic wedding, but its still a fantastic source for visual inspiration. Even if you haven’t found the right venue yet, having an idea of what it should look like, will help when you contact agencies or wedding planners

To get you inspired here are some new and a few of our existing venues to consider for your 2027 wedding, if one of these looks like your potential dream venue, then you can start planning your wedding abroad for 2027 now!

Think multi day experience, perhaps a pre wedding pizza party and an after wedding breakfast around the pool.

The wedding day itself will be one of relaxation and excitement as our team of amazing suppliers come onsite to set up for your dream day and with 3 different areas for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and dancing each wedding here will be unique.

We especially love the Greek family that run this villa, they are so warm and hospitable, this is an all round experience.

And all this with ocean views!

Planning your wedding abroad for 2027 boho boutique hotel Rhodes

Boho Boutique Hotel Lindos

This little hotel we are bursting at the seams to tell you about.

After visiting back in June, I’ve often thought about going back on holiday. The relaxed boho ambience is so inviting,  with the biggest decision you’ll  make being, where to enjoy your holiday read, ‘under this ancient oak with dappled sunshine’, or ‘swaying in this comfy hammock’.

The relaxed discreet service, is there if you need it, but not obtrusive, so much so, you’ll feel like you’re in your own private oasis.

This venue has accommodation for up to 18 in luxurious rooms designed in a similar boho style, these rooms have to be booked to host your wedding here, but hey! Who wouldn’t want to stay here!

And when it comes to the wedding;

For the ceremony we suggest the front terrace, with rustic chairs and benches and sheltered by the most majestic of trees, followed by cocktails by the illusion pool or above in the sheltered terrace (also ideal for a spot of yoga) before heading back down to the main terrace which is transformed into your dinner area with plenty of room for dancing.

This luxury chic venue is one to consider for decerning clients that want to relax with all the small touches you expect in a high quality resort.

Planning your wedding abroad for 2027 finca mallorca

Finca Olive Mallorca

Well what a treat we have for you, with the introduction of 3 new finca’s each one different in style and facilities. From small and rustic, to modern and elegant!

One of my favourites is Finca Olive, with a well designed layout, that works equally well for smaller more intimate weddings as it does for larger weddings with 100’s of guests, this really is a special venue and conveniently, only minutes by car from Palma De Mallorca

With accommodation for up to 12 onsite (and even an helipad if you’re so inclined)! You can invite your nearest and dearest to share this experience with you,  just imagine, a pre wedding dinner with these incredible views!

Planning your wedding abroad for 2027 Le Ciel Santorini

Le Ciel Santorini

One of our original and very special destinations, Santorini,  21 years ago we planned our first wedding here, and although quite different today, it’s still so unique.

Le Ciel is still one of our favourite choices here. A purpose built wedding and event venue, in Imergliovi, offering amazing sunset views. With a capacity of up to 100, here you can have a Greek style wedding venue, with a modern aesthetic and all the amenities you’d expect with a luxury venue. The ratio of staff to guest here, is high, so expect impeccable attention to detail and delicious menus, created by their in house catering team!

With options of free or paid bar it’s great for different budgets too.

The venue is close to the small chapel Profitis Elias, where we recommend you have your couple photo shoot, it really is a breath-taking spot.
