‘Lisa and her team made sure everything ran smoothly which meant that we could fully enjoy ourselves without having to worry about a thing. Thanks to her we had the best day ever and for that we will be for ever grateful.’
As we love to travel, we knew we wanted to have our wedding abroad and Santorini was at the top of our list as a dream wedding destination. We wanted our wedding to be unforgettable and magical and Santorini Gem offered the perfect backdrop for our special day. The idea of saying “I do” in such a romantic and breathtaking setting filled us with excitement and anticipation. It was the perfect place to begin our new chapter together and create memories that we would cherish for a lifetime.
We invited 109 and there was total of 42 guests attending. We felt incredibly fortunate that our loved ones were able to attend our wedding considering some of them travelled all the way from Colombia, USA, and Canada. It was the perfect number of guests for us as we had time to talk to everyone throughout the day. Having our family and friends there to share in our joy and celebration meant the world to us.
My dream wedding dress was from Ivory and Grace Bridal Store in Gothenburg. As soon as I tried it on, I had that magical feeling you get when you know it´s the one. The dress had a long flowing train and 3D flowers that perfectly captured the romantic vibe I was going for. I found it in my second wedding dress shop.
My shoes were from ASOS , The Flora Pins hair accessories were from Jay Kay Braids and Bridal. The earrings , necklace and bracelet were from Dream Designs bridal shop.
I purchased mine since I wanted to keep it as a memory from our wedding day. Eric.
The bridesmaid dresses were in a blush pink colour in chiffon material from Every Pretty.
Our inspiration for the flowers and colours were actually from a wedding in Santorini that we came across on YouTube. We chose fresh local flowers with various colours of pink and white with some greenery. They were so beautiful that words cannot do them justice.
We brought our own signage and seating chart with us and had them in our hand luggage. We also brought mini suitcase favour boxes with some Swedish candy in it. The guests really loved how cute the mini suitcases were. It was quite easy to bring everything with us.
The whole day was magical and perfect!
Our best memory was the moment we saw each other for the first time at the altar.
Nothing compares to getting married abroad. Everything from warmer and sunnier weather to sharing an unforgettable vacation and your wedding day together with your loved ones.
Enjoy every minute of your special day and go with the flow. We had the most perfect wedding day. All of our guests enjoyed it and told us how beautiful it was.
You really don’t have to have that much extra decoration as the venue itself is breathtaking! Another advice is to think about yourselves.
We keep telling each other how lucky we were to be able to have a wedding planner as Lisa and her team. That for us took away so much of the stress and made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. Trust them 100%. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
