'It was an absolute dream of a day. Maybe still in a bit of shock that it happened. I cannot thank you enough how easy you made it from start to finish, we will forever be grateful for everything. .'

Their Story

Why did you choose to get married in Rhodes?

I came across photos  online and fell in love with the venue. As soon as I saw the venue I envisioned my own wedding there and couldn’t stop thinking about it.

We invited 50 guest and 40 attended we never wanted a huge wedding and so grateful for everyone that made the journey over.

I went to Avorio in Fochabers i picked Enzoani – trinity.  It was the second shop I went to but the first one I tried on in that shop. As soon as I walked in the sparkles caught my eye. It’s nothing like what I was originally going for. However when I saw it I had to try it. As soon as I looked in the mirror I knew it was the one.

My veil I got from avorio as well. The long veil with diamonds studs  matched the dress so well. It acted like another layer to sparkle in the sun

Shoes from next. A very last minute find. I was so unsure about my shoes as I knew I was getting married on the sand. And unsure  to have a heel. I decided to go a small wide heel and there where perfect. However they did get taken off when the dancing started.

My earrings where a gift from Owen from Lily & Roo and my bracelet a gift from my dad

Owen hired his kilt. We hired matching kilts for the groomsman’s and dads. Kilts can can be very expensive to buy to hiring was the best option to have everyone matching

I started looking at bridesmaids dresses once I picked my dress and Owen’s kilt.  I thought the champagne dress from Six Stories would tie in with the brown kilts  and the venue perfectly.

I fell in love with the venue for the fairy lights. And the view of the acropolis and the beach. The venue had a lot going on so I wanted simple colours. I went with white rose and Gysopfilla as they are delicate flowers but had a lot of effect.  It didn’t take the away for the views and lights from the venue.

Mmm very hard just to pick one. As it was honestly all so amazing. The moment I feel I remember most was during the first dance and the fireworks started to go off. We were both so happy at the moment. It was a nice surprise for the guest. And a bit of a relief that our first dance went well!

We went over to Rhodes for two weeks. We had a week with everyone that made the journey over for extended celebration.

This also made the day of wedding so much more relaxed as everyone had already met. Everyone left after one week so me and owen had a week to relax and explore Rhodes

Trust the process and hire a planner. Planning a wedding abroad will be very different from planning one in the UK. The whole planning process seems a lot more relaxed and if any issues do occur do not panic . I cannot thank Lisa and her team enough for how professionally and quickly they solved any issues that occurred for me weeks before. If I didn’t have a planner  to sort this for me I wouldn’t of managed it.
