‘I just wanted to thank you for everything the day was just perfect and exactly what we had hoped for’
Venue Lindos Memories, Rhodes • Date 27th August 2022 • Number of Guests 28
This is a wedding where plan B was put in action and turned out even better than plan A
Michelle and Alan were a joy to work with, their wonderful partnership demonstrated by the way they came together to face a last minute challenging situation full on and with such decorum, show’s exactly why their perfectly matched.
Thank you both for trusting us to do what was best and we’re so glad you had such an amazing day.
So when I received this message, I must admit I did shed a tear…of pure happiness.
‘I just wanted to thank you for everything the day was just perfect and exactly what we had hoped for. I know you worked so hard to rearrange everything after the issues with the original venue. The team at the wedding were amazing orchestrating everything and we cannot thank you both enough’
I know we can’t prevent ever unfortunate situation but our weddings are so personal to us, when things go wrong we’ll move heaven and earth to make things right again.
And when the result is one of the most EPIC firework shots of the season, what can I say……
Why did you choose to get married in Rhodes?
We simple fell in love with the island.
How many people did you invite to your wedding and how many accepted?
We invited about 70 people and 28 accepted. We decided not to invite children other than our own, as the wedding was abroad it made childcare a bit challenging for some of our guests which meant they couldn’t attend, a lot of our guests decided that just one of the couple would attend.
Tell us about your dress?
My dress was by Made with Love. I knew I wanted something sparkly so looked online and found one, luckily there was a local stockiest of the dress so it was really easy.
My shoes were Steve Madden, they were super sparkly and will definitely be able to wear again. My earrings were from Etsy.
and the groom?
Alan purchased his wedding attire, he decided it was too hot for a suit.
Bridesmaids
My little girls flower dresses were white and super cheap from Shein they looked lovely. I had one other bridesmaid who wore purple and I let her choose.
How did you choose your wedding colours?
We went for white flowers kept it really simple. A friend of mine got married abroad a few years ago and she kept reminding me that the scenery and the beach is all the decor you need as it’s so easy to get swept away.
Best Memory
So many amazing memories but walking down the aisle with my two little daughters and a thousand butterflies in my tummy and seeing Alan waiting for us was the best. I cried all the way!!
What do you think makes a wedding abroad stand out from a wedding in the UK?
The scenery, the holiday we had with it, all of our guests were really relaxed and the wedding was just so relaxed. Other than the last minute venue issue it was so much easier to plan then a UK wedding as you took care of everything, we just told you what we wanted and you did the rest.
