Get married in the city that never sleeps
Weddings in New York
To co-inside with the month of ‘LOVE’ we’re thrilled to announce that we’re launching a brand new destination – WEDDINGS IN NEW YORK!
To say we’re excited is an understatement.
New York is a special place to us having spent a lot of time here, it feels a bit like a second home.
From the bustling city roads flooded with yellow cabs (and their horns), to the serene ambience of Central Park, New York offers delights at every turn.
When we first considered expanding our wedding destinations, we knew we wanted to introduce a destination that we were both familiar with whilst being completely different to anywhere else we currently offer AND somewhere where we can plan winter weddings.
Weddings in New York ticks all of these boxes!
Weddings in Central Park
Many of the venues for our weddings in New York are in Central Park, a huge expanse of parks and green spaces and gardens, it’s so HUGE it’s the size of a small city itself. I can personally verify this having tried to walk the length of it in one day in the height of summer, my feet took 24 hours to return to their normal size.
The park is a haven of lush plantation with something to suit every season, from blossoms in May and huge weeping willows that you can literally hide inside, in the height of summer.
Belvedere’s Castle is a magnificent structure with panoramic views of the surrounding skyline from its elevated position, it stands above the great lawn which is popular for picnics and a wedding in one of its turrets will make you feel like a fairytale princess.
Ladies Pavilion is one of our favourite location for weddings in New York, it was made famous by the ‘Sex and the City’ films after it was used as the filming location where Miranda consoled Carrie about Mr Big. The Pavilion dates back to 1871 and was originally a shelter for trolley passengers, it was relocated into the park in 1912, it’s a perfect location for year round weddings in New York, in May it’s surrounded by pink blossom and in winter it sits proudly next to the winter foliage giving shelter if the weather isn’t onside.
The Cop Cot is a wooden structure used for weddings in New York, it’s located at the bottom of the park just a stones throw away from the main city, so ideal if you want to grab a taxi and head off to your reception afterwards (or if you prefer, maybe ice skating in winter or a trip to the fairground in summer?).
Bow Bridge is perfect for photographs, whilst it’s not used for the ceremony itself you could marry in one of the nearby landing spots and be guarantee incredible photos with the bridge as your backdrop.
Chambers Landing is the perfect spot for weddings in New York if you want to be lakeside and have the famous Manhattan skyline right behind you.
There are also some hidden treasure wedding locations in Central Park, that are away from the hustle and bustle and provide a little bit more privacy for your wedding, such as Wagner Cove and West Drive Boat Landing that are located lakeside and are perfect if you want something that little bit more intimate.
Weddings in Manhattan
If you want to marry in the heart of the city then we have some amazing options for you too, from a rooftop in the heart of Times Square where you can say ‘I do’ surrounded by panoramic views of Broadway, to a loft garden which sits right next to the beautiful St Patricks Cathedral. You could even exchange your vows at one of New York’s most iconic venues, ‘Top of The Rock’ with a panoramic view of New York city below.
Weddings in New York really do offer something for everybody.
A wedding in Manhattan can also be combined with a photo shoot in Central Park, so you can have the best of both worlds and combine both the city and the park into your special day.
Wedding Receptions in New York
If you’d like to celebrate your wedding with a picnic in Central Park or a sail down the Hudson on a luxury yacht, or even if you want to dine in one of our rooftop venues then we have many wonderful options for your wedding in New York.
Our services will cover everything from helping you into your dress, assisting you with necessary paperwork, ensuring your venue (if marrying in Central Park) is closed before your arrival and making sure that your photographs are as incredible as they can be, should it be re-positioning your veil or smoothing out your hair. We’ll be on hand to make sure you have nothing to worry about, all you need to do is enjoy your wedding day in the most magical city in the world.
Weddings in New York are for those adventurous couples who want something different for their wedding day, who want to make wonderful memories that will last a lifetime and have a city they can return to time and time again which will hold a special place in their heart forevermore.
