Why did you choose to get married in Rhodes and at the Aqua Grand?

Rhodes has always been one of my favourite places, and I always wanted to get married there after attending my sister’s wedding at St. Paul’s bay.  So, when Mark and I decided to get married, we came to Rhodes to choose our wedding venue. The Aqua Grand was so beautiful we just fell in love with it.

How many guests did you invite to your wedding and how many accepted and attended?

We originally invited around 50 guests and 29 accepted and attended.

Tell us about your gorgeous dress.

I found my dress at the 3rd wedding dress shop I visited. I bought it from Wed2be and it was from their platinum collection.

Your accessories?

My shoes were from quiz, my necklace and bracelet were gift from my mother. My earrings were a gift from my father

Tell us about Mark’s suit

The groom and groomsmen’s  suits were bought at Slaters Menswear in Newcastle

And the bridesmaids?

The bridesmaid dresses were bought at wed4less they were bottle green

What were your wedding colours and why did you choose them?

I love bright colours and wanted my wedding to reflect this. As the bridesmaids were wearing bottle green dresses I decides to go with a bright colour pallet of fuchsia, orange,  purple and green with the bouquets and table decorations.

What’s your best memory?

Mark and I took a few minutes out to sit and look at at the sea. It gave us a chance to reflect on the day and really take in the beauty of the place. The Greek dancers were also amazing

What do you think makes a wedding abroad stand out from a wedding in the UK?

The weather to start. Rhodes in particular has some really beautiful places to get married.

What advice would you give to future brides and grooms who are getting married abroad?

Makes sure you steal away for a few moments at some point in the day to take everything in.
