Why did you choose to get married at the Sea View Terrace in Ibiza?
We love Ibiza as a place and the idea of having sea as a view for our wedding was perfect for us. We also preferred the idea of having the wedding on a terrace and not a beach.
How long in advance did you book your wedding?
Beginning of October 2015.
How many guests did you invite to your wedding and how many accepted and attended?
Around 80 invites went out and 59 attended.
You look beautiful in your dress! How long did it take you to find?
It was the second dress I tried on and I chose it 3 days after being proposed to.
What about your shoes and accessories? Where were these from?
The shoes I chose were from internet, they had pearls on them. They were beautiful but not the comfiest so a month before the wedding I changed them to some peep toe shoes from the bridal section on Asos.
My accessories were from the same shop as my dress in Kidderminster, it is called ‘To have and to hold’.
The groom looks great in his attire! Where was this purchased?
We purchase his suit from Next.
We love the bridesmaid’s dresses! Where were these from?
I went for a mint green theme and had them made to measure from an online website.
What flowers did you choose for your bouquet and why?
I liked the idea of simple colours against the bridesmaid’s outfits as they were quite vibrant. The bouquet was made up of roses and peonies.
What was your wedding theme?
We chose a mint green theme, clean, fresh with a bit of bling.
Tell us about the smaller details you added to create your Mint Green Beach Wedding in Ibiza
Our wedding cake was 3 tier with different textured tiers and vanilla flavour.
Our favours would have been mint coloured lollipops but they failed to arrived so the females all had personalised Ibiza key rings.
How did you find the planning experience from booking to the big day?
I really enjoyed it, I would advise to plan and book things in advance.
What’s your best memory from the day?
Seeing my new husband’s face when he seen me face to face for the first time.
What do you think makes a wedding abroad stand out from a wedding in the UK?
The weather and setting.
What advice would you give to future brides and grooms who are getting married abroad?
Plan everything in advance.
