Why did you choose to get married in Santorini and in particular Le Ciel?

We both always knew that we would get married abroad , we wanted the sunshine & the quality time also with family & friends on holiday leading up to the big day . Going abroad for me I felt made the celebrations last longer & we made the best memories with everyone … From the minute I started looking at venues abroad I knew it had to be Santorini , Le ceil came up on one of the photos I was blown away & I knew that was my venue !! Santorini just stood out so much to me its truly the most beautiful place 😊 I had never ever been to Santorini but the place speaks for itself & we were blown away !! Santorini Le Ceil what a dream come true !

We had 2 weeks out there , 10 nights with friends & family coming & going at different times . We booked a little suite in Imerovigli at the end of our stay with our own private pool & wow the views in Imerovigli are out of this world !

How many guests did you invite?

We invited 56 people & we had 50 people attend , a perfect number in our opinion . Unfortunately for health reasons my father couldn’t attend but we had him on facetime throughout the day thanks to my sister in law ( felt like he was there with us for the most important parts of the day ) . One of my bridesmaids also couldn’t make it due to her partners health at the time . My flower girl had chicken pox so she also wasn’t able to attend ☹

We had a UK Wedding reception 3 weeks later so that was lovely as Dad & my bridesmaid Zoe & partner & flower girl were all able to celebrate with us along with other friends & family . It was lovely like a catch up again for all of the Santorini guests ! What a party it was !

Tell us about your amazing dress?

My dress was a Martina liana , I think I tried about 10/15 dresses on previously & when I put mine on I had that feeling everybody talks about !! Such a nice exciting feeling I knew this was my dress . My mum cried !! Dad also came to pick my dress which was lovely especially with him not being able to make the Wedding

I got my shoes from Dune & little bridal bag also … Hairpiece was from Etsy ! I wore a beautiful bracelet that Kev bought me as my Wedding pressie .

How about Kev?

Kev’s suit & the groomsmen’s we bought from ASOS – we loved the Cream colour, especially for our wedding abroad & these were perfect when they arrived so we went with them .

The bridesmaids?

The bridesmaids dresses I got from Quiz , the dusky rose colour was exactly what I wanted , they were so comfy & lightweight for the weather & complimented all of my bridesmaids just wonderfully . We just had the lengths altered on some of them . Their shoes were from ASOS a rose gold block heel & jewellery from ETSY ..
The mother of the bride outfit, hat , clutch & shoes were all from Phase 8 a dusky rose colour too which worked so well with the bridesmaids .

Can you tell us what colours you chose and why?

The romantic soft pinks creams & golds had always been my vision of how I wanted the décor to look . The Flowers were beautiful & complimented the venue so well .. we used Illuminography for the table names a gold personalised disc which was so lovely & also a little keepsake , they also supplied the table numbers to match in the gold . The venue also supply the umbrellas which is a nice touch ..

Did you bring any items from home?

I brought with me from home , scratch cards as favours ( had the card holders made from ETSY IN CREAM & GOLD ) & sweets for the kids . The Menus we also got from ETSY matching the theme , a wedding book for the guests to sign along with a sign framed in gold for the guest book . Popped these in an extra suitcase we took with all of the bridal gifts etc… they were fine being transported .

So happy that we hired the videographer too these memories are forever & so lovely to be able to watch it over & over again , Andrea’s was lovely , Our photographers were fab !! They made us feel at ease would highly recommend both !! The sax was outstanding !!! Best decision ever . Raphael played the piano during the meal just perfect ! Le Ceils DJs also fantastic . Can I just say that the service from LE CEIL was outstanding !! all of our guests commented !! Drinks flowing constantly & the food was outstanding .

Fireworks at the 1^st dance I would highly recommend !! So special

What are your favourite moments?

Wowww to pinpoint my fave moment !! There’s a few !!

1 – walking down the aisle & seeing Kev my hubby to be I will never forget hes little teary eye as we said our vows ..i will forever cherish this

2 – the cheer we had once pronounced husband & wife walking down together hand in hand past our guests with the confetti wow what a feeling that was just amazing .

3- couples entrance – lovely feeling to walk back in to those cheers from all of our guests

4 The sunset with the red moon !!! This will forever be my favourite sunset it was magical , the curtains are drawn & wowww everyone was blown away with how beautiful it was .

What would you say makes a wedding abroad so special compared to a wedding in the UK.

A Wedding abroad stands out for me so much , you have the sunshine & most importantly all of your family & friends are there with you on holiday . It’s not just 1 day like many Weddings in the UK . Our group got so close , people made new friends for life & the memories we all have are just wonderful .

The build up to the Wedding was soooo nice & by the time the Wedding came everyone knew each other made for a great party !! We went to a beach club the day after the wedding which was great I just felt the magic lasted so much longer as we had that time with everyone before after the Wedding , & then a UK reception to come home to seeing everyone again and getting to wear my dress again ! Just wonderful .

What advise would you give to future bride and grooms?

Anyone considering a Wedding abroad ! Get it booked you will be forever grateful of the decision you have made going abroad !! Lisa is amazing & will make anything happen for you !! The vendors are all super lovely & anything that you would have at a UK wedding you can have abroad ! Take every second in as the day goes by quickly ! It will be the best day of your life & worth every penny spent, memories made forever with all of your faves 😊

Just a dream come true for us , the best decision ever to marry in this beautiful venue in Santorini
